As of 1st January 2013 Tasmania adopted the Work Health and Safety Act 2012.

This Act brought some significant improvements for workers’ health and safety and in particular, ensures that workers are consulted on all health and safety matters.

On 12 December 2022, new Work Health and Safety Regulations came into effect in Tasmania, including specific regulations for psychosocial risks.

Accompanying the Act are the Regulations and Codes of Practice (COPs) plus a range of information guides. Here are some helpful links to the new legislation:
