Unions - Always Willing to Lend a Hand
Tasmanian Unions will make a major contribution to Special Olympics Tasmania (SOTAS) today to support the purchase of SOTAS membership shirts for athletes and volunteers.
“Unions were quick to offer to help and no-one needed asking twice,” said Kevin Harkins, Secretary of Unions Tasmania.
“When the call went out the response was very positive and immediate. It is another demonstration of the valuable contribution Unions make to the Tasmanian community.”
Unions contributed $6000 to support the purchase of the shirts for Special Olympics Tasmania.
Special Olympics Tasmania has around 240 athletes and volunteers across the state who will receive the membership shirts, thanks to the support of Tasmanian Unions and their members.
At 10am on Sunday 23 October, Unions Tasmania will present the brand new SOTAS membership shirts to athletes and volunteers.
